International shipments are sometimes difficult due to the size of the box. A lot of our statues are large and so are the boxes. USPS (United Statues Postal Service) is by far the cheapest way to ship these internationally. However depending on the destination country the maximum allowable USPS dimensions of a box varies wildly. The formula USPS uses is height + girth, so height + 2x(width+depth). Height for purposes of the formula is the longest measure of the box.
For most Western European countries USPS allows a size of 108 inches. But for many other countries this is only 78 inches. Full details are on the website of USPS - www.usps.com
So what to do if you would like to buy an item that is too large to ship with USPS? You could use UPS or Fedex but in most cases these are very expensive options. What seems to work for a lot of international buyers is the use of a freight forwarder, such as Parcel Monkey, Planet Express or MyUS. There are many such companies in the USA. We would ship to the local drop point (domestic) of your freight forwarder and they would handle the international part of it. If you choose a drop point close to our warehouse which in in Long Beach, CA the domestic cost of the shipment would be very low.
