Payday is a cooperative first-person shooter video game developed by Overkill Software and was released in 2011. It focuses on the four robbers Dallas, Hoxton, Chains and Wolf who team up for dangerous heists. As of October 2012, the game has sold over 700.000 copies.
Payday 2 was released in 2013 and plays two years after the events of the previous game. Compared to the first Payday, the sequel allows much more customization and a reworked stealth mechanic.
As of November 2014, the video game has sold more than 9 million copies and released more than 20 Add-ons.
On May 30th 2016, Starbreeze officially announced Payday 3.
